WELCOME to CSTAF's Agroforestry Information System.  Our purpose is to educate the public and to provide landowners and extension agents easy internet  access to agroforestry information and decision making tools for agroforestry planning and tree selection in the Subtropics.

 

CSTAF's AIS offers multiple means of learning about agroforestry.  Introduce yourself to the subject in "What is Agroforestry", or read about agroforestry research and case studies in "Agroforestry Readings".  If you would like to see agroforestry practices in the subtropics check out our picture gallery.

 

For those interested in agroforestry planning, our "Decision Support System" (DSS) component offers decision support tools, integrating GIS (Geographical Information Systems) data, a tree and shrub database and agroforestry knowledge in order to offer information on site characteristics, potential practices, and suitable tree/shrub species.
