At the annual meeting of CSTAF’s Advisory
Council in May, council members agreed that the practical
benefits of agroforestry research should be highlighted through
extension activities.
As researchers began reporting early results
at the CSTAF Advisory Council annual meeting in May, the
environmental and economic benefits of agroforestry systems
began to emerge as two of the prominent research findings.
Organizers of the 1st
World Congress of Agroforestry in Orlando June 27-July 2, 2004, have scheduled international experts to give
presentations, arranged workshops and activities, and enlisted
the support of sponsors worldwide.
CSTAF will publish the white
paper Agroforestry in the Southeastern United States this
August. The paper provides a detailed overview of agroforestry
in the Southeast and provides a list of publications and other
resources available for interested readers.
