Eddie Ellis, the CSTAF
post-doctoral researcher who developed the SEADSS program, has accepted
a position as research scientist with Centro de Investigaciones
Tropicales (CITRO) at the University of Veracruz, in Xalapa, Veracruz,
Mexico. Ellis will conduct research
related to land use land cover and mapping, land use planning, forest
fragmentation, and climate variables related to forests. He also will
